The "Sepia Tone VI Marble" is a premium model that luxuriously features high-quality marble ebonite custom-ordered by Gottsu. Because the black and orange ebonite are carefully blended by hand, no two patterns are ever the same, making each mouthpiece a truly one-of-a-kind piece just for you.
Blending these two colors of ebonite serves a purpose far beyond visual beauty. The mixture of different materials creates a specific density and resonance, producing "complex and rich overtones" that simply cannot be achieved with solid-color ebonite. Furthermore, it is designed so that the energy of your breath is firmly focused in the center. This prevents the sound from scattering, allowing you to project a fat, solid-core sound straight ahead.

Further Evolution Brought by the Hammered Copper Ring
With the September 2024 update, the shank material was upgraded from the conventional "gold-plated brass" to a "hammered copper ring." By adopting this highly resonant copper material, the richness of the overtones has been further enhanced. It has evolved into a mouthpiece that pursues the ultimate "joy of playing," allowing you to make your instrument truly ring out to its fullest potential.

I originally made this model simply to pursue the beauty of the mouthpiece; it did not cross my mind to introduce this mouthpiece as a Gottsu model. However, many professional saxophone artists tested and enjoyed it, and they wanted to have one of their own. Therefore, I decided to introduce it as a new Gottsu model. The design is the same as the Sepia Tone VI, but some changes have been made in order to accommodate the marbled material and brass ring.
